Data Scientist — Machine Learning, Predictive Modelling & Simulation
I build machine-learning and simulation systems that turn complex data
into something people can actually understand — and away from the screen
I paint, cook, and love to travel.
I earned my MSc in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science
with Distinction from Keele University. For my master's project,
I built a system that helps predict heart disease from medical data.
It didn't just give an answer — it could also explain the
reasons behind each prediction, so that a doctor could
understand and trust what the computer was suggesting.
Since then I've kept building. I've created projects that
simulate how people negotiate, that
model how wildlife moves through a forest, and that
read satellite images to measure the health of forests.
I've also co-authored published research in psychology and education.
The common thread is simple: take something complicated and make it
clear and useful.
Away from the screen, I paint, I cook, and I love visiting historical
places. Right now I work as a Chef de Partie while I
build toward my next role in data science and AI — a deliberate,
resourceful chapter, not a gap. The kitchen and the desk ask for the
same things: precision, calm under pressure, and care.

Predicting Heart Disease — and Explaining It
My master's project: a system that predicts heart disease from cardiac contraction data and, crucially, explains the reasons behind each prediction so clinicians can understand and trust it. Highly accurate and fully interpretable — now being extended with neuro-symbolic AI.
A free-to-run simulator where AI agents negotiate with each other, developing shifting positions and a sense of reputation over time — a way to study how deals form.
Fifty randomised runs of the negotiation simulator, analysed together to show how often agreements happen and how positions settle — turning many simulations into a clear picture of what's likely.
A simulation of how animals use the landscape under different levels of forest management — showing how simple local behaviour adds up to big patterns across an ecosystem.
Processing laser-scan data of a forest to build a canopy-height map and estimate tree heights — reconstructing the shape of the forest from a cloud of 3D points.
A weather app that fetches live data through an API — an early software-development exercise.

06 — Beyond the Screen
The other half of me
The parts that don't fit on a CV — and quietly make the rest better.
Painting
Colour, patience and composition. Painting is where I slow down and think differently — it's taught me as much about attention to detail as any dataset.
Cooking
Indian food at heart, with a love for Mediterranean, Italian and Japanese flavours. Cooking is creativity you can share — and, these days, part of how I make a living too.
Writing
I enjoy writing — reflections on what I'm learning, the places I visit, and the small things worth noticing. Putting ideas into plain words keeps my thinking honest.
Travel & Historical Places
I love standing where history happened. Türkiye has a special hold on me — its history and old cities. Closer to home, I've recently explored a few beautiful corners of the UK, including the Lake District.
